Social Events at The Albert Club

At West Didsbury's finest social club, we have a wide range of social events going on throughout the year to suit all ages and all tastes, with emphasis on friendliness and inclusivity.
Our larger social events such as our all-weekend Beer Festival in June, Summer Fete in June and Fireworks in November.
Gigs and comedy nights throughout the year, as well as themed nights such as St Patrick's, Oktoberfest, Race Night, NY Eve Party etc. Plus much more.
Regular events, such as our family friendly 'Friday Night Social', Quiz Nights, Didsbury SciBar*, Poker Night, Film Night, Open Mic Night and Baby and Toddler Group**
We also show a broad range of TV Sport, including football, rugby and tennis, in a family friendly atmosphere. You'll not find a more comfortable, safe or friendly place to watch the game. ***

This is all made possible by our amazing team of Club management and staff, supported by your social committee and our generous member volunteers.

  • Didsbury SciBar is a free public event run monthly by Didsbury SciBar as part of a network previous affiliated with The British Science Association – Contact them for more details
  • Baby Group is a weekly group open to non-members and run by Bob Tales
  • Big matches are advertised on our TV Sports Calendar – It is also possible for members to watch other matches/events on request in our TV room, subject to the club being open and it not interfering with other events going on in the club. Please see here for our full TV sports policy.

Non Members

Our larger, ticketed events, such as our Fireworks Display, Beer Festival, Comedy, Open Mic and Live Music Nights are also available to non-members however members get a priority window to purchase tickets and non-members are subject to a surcharge.

Non members are welcome to sample most of our other events and groups before joining the club, but we suggest that regular attendees should become members. 

Existing club members can refer friends, relatives and colleagues via our ‘Refer A Friend‘ scheme – up to £40 bar credit is available!
