Welcome to The Albert Tennis and Bowling Club, in the heart of West Didsbury. Surrounded by mature trees and overlooking a superb crown bowling green the club creates a direct link between the area’s Victorian past and its vibrant and fashionable present.

Our tennis members enjoy the use of six floodlit, all-weather tennis courts, social weekend tennis, the opportunity to play in a range of successful teams, regular tournaments and access to expert coaches. Players of every standard are catered for and there is a thriving junior section.

We have a new, young and enthusiastic bowling team and offer lessons to any interested newcomers. Throughout the summer we hold bowling events, both for serious players and family enjoyment. Our green is the envy of South Manchester and bowling is the new Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Two well-established and one new snooker team play from our recently refurbished snooker room which, with its original vaulted ceiling, looks absolutely magnificent. So do the snooker players, of course. The club holds twice yearly snooker handicaps, open to all members.

We also have darts and crib teams competing in local leagues and table tennis teams representing the entire age range.

If you’re not a sports person, there’s a comfortable bar and lounge with excellent prices from which you can watch others expend energy on your behalf. As a social member you can use all the clubhouse facilities and you pay a smaller membership fee. We have plenty of live music and regular DJs plus cunning and witty quizzes, juke box and dart board. We show key sporting events on the big screen and have a Plasma TV in the smaller lounge for members to catch up with results.
